Bookings made with Kefalonia Luxury Holiday Lettings

 

Terms and Conditions

 

It is important that you read these Terms and Conditions before submitting a deposit to Kefalonia Luxury Holiday Lettings (hereafter KLHL) as they constitute a binding agreement between the person who makes the booking and KLHL. Any booking made shall be considered an offer by you to rent your chosen accommodation for the agreed period of time only and will be subject to these terms and conditions. The person who makes the booking application, must be over 18 years of age, and will be responsible for all payment due from all members of the party.

 

Payment:

Once the availability of your chosen property has been established, we shall send you a Booking Form with confirmation of the total rent due and the deposit required for securing your booking. Complete and return the Booking Form to KLHL and pay the deposit through our PayPal facility or by credit transfer. On receipt of the Booking Form and deposit, an acknowledgement will be sent by email.

 

For your convenience, a Booking Form will not be required if full information is presented by phone or email. In this instance, KLHL will confirm the booking details by email for your reference.

 

In some cases, the balance of the rent due must be paid in cash, in Euro, directly to the property owner on the day of arrival at your selected property.  In other cases, the property owner will require the balance to be paid directly to them by cheque/bank draft or credit transfer and eight weeks in advance of your arrival date at the property. KLHL reserve the right to cancel a booking should the balance not be paid in compliance with the property owners instructions and no refund will be given of the deposit paid. As we deal with different property owners, guests will be advised at the time of booking as to the precise procedure for paying the balance to the individual property owner. KLHL recommends that cash is not sent through the post and will not accept any responsibility in this regard.

 

Liability:

KLHL acts only as a booking agent and under no circumstances can be held liable for any loss, personal injury/illness or death. We have taken all measures at our disposal to ensure the quality and facilities of the properties are to the required high standard and cannot accept liability for any problems that may occur whilst visitors occupy their chosen property including any swimming pool and surrounding area.

 

Kefalonia is renowned for its tranquillity and all properties have been selected with this in mind. However, we cannot be held liable for any noise resultant of new building works or residents of other properties. We can insist that no property owner will undertake work in or around your chosen property during your visit but any other means of noise is completely outside of our control. KLHL will not be liable for any temporary stoppage in supply of electricity or water to your chosen property and also in respect of any machinery or appliance on the grounds of the property.

 

Should any problem arise we will notify the property owner and demand the issue be addressed immediately.

 

Loss or Damage:

Should any member of your party be responsible for any breakages, loss or damage to any item within the property or indeed to the property itself, you will be liable to make an appropriate payment to the property owner prior to your departure date.

 

Safety and Conduct:

All members of your party are expected to conduct themselves in such a manner that it will not cause distress to your neighbours or cause likely damage to your chosen property. If in the opinion of ourselves, the owner of the property or a member of authority this condition has been breached we reserve the right to cancel your holiday arrangements forthwith. In such circumstances, KLHL will not be liable to you for any refund, compensation or any additional expenses you may incur.

 

Where appropriate, it is requested that you conform to the swimming pool safety notice displayed in the pool area and that any children must be closely supervised at all times. Please also ensure that air conditioning units are only used whilst you are within the property to avoid any possible safety concerns through continuous use.

 

Property Alterations:

KLHL has thoroughly inspected all properties and will continue to do so on a regular basis to ensure that advertised descriptions are correct and we also provide video coverage for this purpose. However, we do not own the properties and cannot control any changes. Where possible and deemed relevant, we will notify you of any changes to the advertised property. No compensation will be payable by KLHL for any such cases.

 

We would emphasise that alterations to properties are not very common and all property owners are aware that their facilities are under constant review and any breach in trust may prejudice their future dealings with KLHL.

 

Cancellations:

No refund will be made of any monies paid should you or your group have the need to cancel your booking at any time. In the unlikely event KLHL has to cancel a booking we will endeavour to arrange alternate accommodation to meet your requirements with any price difference payable/refundable as appropriate. If preferred, should KLHL cancel a booking a full refund of all monies paid will be due.

 

Guests:

The number of guests permitted to stay in your chosen property is confined to the people named on the Booking Form or subsequent confirmation of booking sent by KLHL. Should additional persons be required at a later date please contact us to try and make arrangements with the property owner, and if approved, such arrangement will be confirmed in writing. Should you or any member of your party have special needs please notify us on application so that we can endeavour to meet your requirements.

 

On submission of the deposit it is acknowledged that you have read and agreed to comply with the above terms and conditions on behalf of all members of the party. We can assure you that any personal data you provide will be in the strictest confidence, safe and secure and will only be released if required by Law.
